When reading the article on the three sectors of sport, I never realised how much they overlap and a sense of how many organisations are involved in sport management.
The state is highly involved in funding and providing the funds to non-profit sport organisations. This allows these programs to provide the community with sporting opportunities, athletes, coaches, administrators and spectators the development and participation. The state also provides sporting venues and the non-profit organisations provide the sporting talent and support the venues.
